52 Godly Women

This is the letter my mom sent to Godly women:

Hello Beautiful You!

I am sending this to women I know that are Godly women.
I am writing with a request:
Here’s the story: I went to a Home Education for Home Business conference and heard from a man and his family who put together a course call 52 Godly Men and 52 Godly Women After hearing from the young people that did it, I was intrigued with their experiences.  Check it out:

My 13-year-old daughter Gabrielle is a beautiful and gifted young woman. As a homeschool mom, I have taken the challenge to provide her with opportunities to become a person of integrity.

After suffering a hard and scary illness this past summer, Godly women in my daughter’s life, took on new meaning. My goal is to give my daughter a right of passage experience to help her on her journey to becoming a woman of God.
Specifically,  I am attempting to assemble a list of Godly women who would be willing to spend a part of their normal day during the coming year in order to give Gabrielle an opportunity to learn the secrets of success which God has taught you during your lifetime.

You are on that list either because I know you personally or have heard of you and your character from someone else.  I am not looking for a perfect woman.  I am looking for women with a strong God, who have gone through trials and survived; women who are real; women who fail and rise from the ashes; women who give their time to help others; women who minister to others or even to your own family during a normal day; business women and women leaders. I am not seeking a mountain top or perfect experience but a real one with you, in the middle of your interruptions and messes.

Would you be willing to spend time with my daughter during the coming year? It could range from lunch to a couple of hours or a full day. That’s your call depending on your willingness and of course, on your schedule. I am flexible, and do not want this to be a burden in any way.

For those of you who are currently employed, your involvement could be as simple as providing Gabrielle with an overview of your occupation, answering some questions and allowing her to watch you at work. You may wish to share stories from your life or your own history of faith in God. Some may wish to go out for an activity or meal. Others may wish to share about a particular life skill or what it means to be successful in your trade.

Deuteronomy 6:5-9 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up. Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Most of all, my prayer is that you ask God to lead you specifically on how to interact with her, what to share from your experiences, your heart, and His Word.   And how you can make a Godly deposit in her life.

I would like to look at our calendars and schedule a date when Gabrielle can come to your location and also discuss with you the unique way in which you can impact her for life.  Tuesdays and Wednesdays are our most flexible days but we will work around your schedule.

This project is beginning on this school year 2019/2020 and will continue into her 9th grade high school year, and possibly beyond.

Thank you for considering!  If for any reason you choose to decline, would you let me know as soon as possible so I may attempt to add another person to the list or please provide me with a referral if you know someone who would be another good example to help.

Sincerely Christina Brown

PS Gabrielle will be keeping a journal of her experiences with each of the women she gets to meet. Who knows? One day it may be the basis for a book or at the least, it will be a good foundation for her adult life. You can check the progress of her year at https://thegabriellebrown.blogspot.com/ (It is a work in progress).
